Tricycle: simpler and cheaper
The older model, called Laguna, is equipped with a 1.4-liter General Motors turbo engine and 200 horsepower. Paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, the car accelerates from zero to 100 km / h in just 4.5 seconds, and the maximum speed for security reasons is electronically limited to around 220 km / h. The mass of the “Lagoon” is 703 kilograms.
The new model, called Venice, is also built on an aluminum frame, but the body panels are not made from carbon fiber, but from cheaper fiberglass. The power unit remained the same, as well as the acceleration time to "hundreds", and the maximum speed fell by 10 km / h. The weight of the budget model is 623 kilograms. As options, heated seats, an audio system and a windproof visor, which is installed behind the seats, are offered.
A pair of 235/35 R19 wheels is mounted on the front, and a 315/30 R20 wheel on the back. Vanderhall Venice can carry two people, but only a pair of handbags will fit in the trunk of only 75 liters. The budget model is offered in three colors: "gray coal", "black abyss" and "white hoarfrost". The manufacturer is already taking pre-orders, and will release a three-wheeled vehicle in the town of Provo, Utah.
To order Venice, you need to make a deposit of $ 250, and the total cost of an unusual car is $ 29, 990. For this money, of course, you can buy a good "full" car, and the older Laguna model will cost $ 49, 990 altogether. However, Vanderhall relies on connoisseurs who certainly need a “tricycle”, and Americans consider British Morgan 3-Wheeler to be a competitor.
