Top 10 smartphones cheaper than 15 thousand rubles

For many, fifteen thousand rubles is a serious psychological barrier when buying a smartphone. Everything that is cheaper seems to be a very compromise option, and if you take it more expensive, then just a little remains to the younger flagships. We studied the market situation and selected the ten best smartphones worth less than 15 thousand rubles.

The selection criteria were several parameters. First of all, the novelty of the model is important: all of the listed devices appeared in 2019 and are equipped with the most relevant hardware and software. The amount of RAM was also determining - less than three gigabytes is now unreasonable to take. And finally, support for fourth-generation communication networks (4G / LTE) has long become the standard for a modern smartphone.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7

According to the already unpleasant tradition, prices for Xiaomi smartphones in Russia are strikingly different between stores. For example, the official cost of picking Note 7 with three gigabytes of RAM and 32 GB flash - 13, 990 rubles. At the same time, you can purchase option 4/128 for 12, 499, but it will be brought from China by workarounds and may differ slightly in functionality. The Redmi Note 7 model boasts a main camera with a resolution of 48 megapixels, support for fast charging according to the Quick Charge 4 standard, and the presence of a USB-C connector. Unfortunately, there is no NFC here - you won’t be able to pay with your phone, but the chipset uses a rather powerful but outdated Snapdragon 660.

ZTE Blade V10

Popular Mechanics did a full review on this model. During the test, the Blade V10 proved to be one of the best smartphones with features for 15 thousand rubles. However, the most serious gripe was the lack of software optimization for hardware "stuffing". This translates into sad performance during games and when working in demanding applications. For 14, 990 rubles, you can become the owner of a smartphone based on MediaTek Helio P70 with 4 GB of RAM and 64 gigabytes of read-only memory. Its advantages are a good screen, NFC support and a front camera with a resolution of 32 MP.

realme 3 pro

Perhaps the best option for those who are looking for maximum performance in this price segment. The heart of this smartphone is the Snapdragon 710 chip, which combines low cost and features at the flagship level. Among them, a powerful DSP that supports the most advanced cameras, an artificial intelligence unit and a high-performance graphics subsystem. Thanks to this, realme 3 pro has a camera application that supports all modern options, including slow motion, ultra-high resolution 64 MP (frame combination) and night mode. It also has a front camera with a 25 MP matrix and a Quad-bayer filter (four pixels each), 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of flash, and the battery can charge up to 50% in just half an hour (VOOC fast charging). The disadvantages include the lack of NFC and the outdated micro-USB connector. Cost - 14 990 rubles.

Hisense rock 5

This is the dark horse of our rating: a little-known brand in Russia, which at the same time offers a gadget on one of the most modern junior Qualcomm chipsets. SD439 has modest performance, but high energy efficiency. Together with a huge battery of 5.5 thousand mAh, it guarantees two to three days of operation without connecting to an outlet in a fairly active use mode. At a cost of less than 14 thousand rubles, the Rock 5 model is equipped with four gigabytes of RAM and a built-in flash drive for 64 GB, which can be expanded with a memory card. Cons are traditional for budget "Chinese" - there is no NFC, low screen resolution and high-speed characteristics of cameras.

Samsung Galaxy A20

The key advantage of the younger “Galaxy” is the AMOLED screen. Yes, this is really a budget smartphone with such a display and you can buy it for only 13, 990 rubles. Also in the list of its advantages it is definitely worth writing a modern USB-C connector and NFC support. But the rest is a full-fledged hostage to its price: mediocre cameras, weak hardware and the most common combination of RAM with flash - 3/32 GB. The manufacturer did not even install antennas for Wi-Fi 5 GHz, so connecting in a home network will work out only over the maximum loaded 2.4 gigahertz range. The seriousness of the problem lies in the fact that most routers do not know how to share networks, and with the advent of the owner of the Galaxy A20, all the gadgets in the apartment will have to sacrifice the stability of communication.
