An analogue of Wikipedia will appear in Russia. For 2 billion rubles

According to Interfax, which analyzed the draft state budget for 2020–22, the subsidy for the creation and operation of a nationwide interactive encyclopedic portal will be 684 million 466.6 thousand rubles in 2020, 833 million 529.7 thousand rubles in 2021, and in 2022 - 169 million 94.3 thousand rubles. At the same time, in 2019, 302 million 213.8 thousand rubles will be spent on creating an analogue of Wikipedia.

The decision of the Government of the Russian Federation on the creation of an electronic encyclopedia was adopted at the end of August 2019, but in fact, work on the project began a little earlier. According to Interfax, BDT executive editor Sergey Kravets, the project, which started on July 1, is designed for 33 months and, according to the plans of its developers, should be completed on April 1, 2022.

For comparison: the fees of the Wikimedia Foundation, which finances Wikipedia, in the period from June 2016 to June 2017 amounted to 109, 762, 001 USD, i.e. approximately 6.5 billion rubles. This money contains Wikipedia itself, which now has about 300 language sections, and about a dozen related projects.
